Isuzu D-Max Sound Upgrade

The Isuzu D-Max ships with a solid factory infotainment setup — a 9" touchscreen with an 8-speaker audio system on LS-U, LS-U+, X-Terrain and Blade grades (8" screen on SX and X-Rider), wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and DAB+ digital radio. It's a genuinely usable factory system, but like most unbranded ute audio, it's built around a modest factory amplifier with limited clean power and no premium tuning behind it. If you're after real clarity, tighter bass and volume headroom without losing a single factory feature, Integrated Audio builds plug-and-play sound upgrade packages specifically for the current-generation D-Max (RG).

Why upgrade your D-Max's sound system?

The D-Max's factory system is a perfectly competent daily-driver setup — 8 speakers, wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and DAB+ across most grades — but unlike Ranger's B&O or Amarok's Harman Kardon, there's no premium branding or dedicated tuning behind it, just a standard factory amplifier doing an honest job at moderate volume. Our packages retain 100% of your factory features (steering wheel controls, DAB+, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, factory mic) while feeding your existing speakers — or upgraded ones — significantly more clean power and proper tuning.

Self-install, no experience needed

Every Integrated Audio package is designed around genuine plug-and-play connectors — no cutting, no soldering. Most D-Max owners complete a Stage 1 install in 1-2 hours with basic hand tools. Trim removal tools are included with every package where trim needs to come off, along with full install guides and support.

The three stages in detail

Stage 1 — Amplify

A plug-and-play HELIX DSP amplifier paired with a D-Max-specific harness. Every factory speaker, feature and connection stays exactly as it was — you're simply feeding the system far more clean power and better crossover points than the factory amp ever had. This is the foundation every later stage builds on. Browse the full range of HELIX and MATCH DSP amplifiers we build packages around.

Stage 2 — Add Bass

Builds directly on Stage 1 by adding a dedicated bench-box subwoofer sized for the D-Max's cab layout. Taking bass duty away from your midbass speakers means they can be pushed harder and cleaner at high volume, while the sub delivers tighter, deeper low end — especially noticeable on the highway where tyre and wind noise compete with your music.

Stage 3 — Full Speaker Replacement

Builds on Stages 1 & 2 with a full plug-and-play HELIX Ci3 speaker upgrade (front and rear component sets) engineered for the D-Max's factory mounting locations. This is the end-game before full custom fabrication. Includes trim removal tools and sound-deadening material where needed.
