The BEC USB HD is a USB interface upgrade card for the BRAX DSP CORE, fitted into one of the CORE's BRAX Extension Card (BEC) slots to add a direct digital audio input from a phone, PC or Mac. It runs as an asynchronous USB audio interface with its own clock generators, so the DSP receives the source's digital audio stream directly — no analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog conversion in between — supporting lossless playback up to 192kHz/32-bit. It's the USB counterpart to the BEC BT HD Bluetooth card in the same slot, for installers who want a wired high-resolution source instead of (or alongside) wireless streaming. Connection cables aren't included: a Mini-USB cable covers most PCs and Macs, Android devices need a Micro-USB OTG cable, and Apple devices need a Camera Connection Kit or Lightning-to-USB cable. It is a data-only interface and does not charge the connected device.
