This is where DSP PC Tool 6 does most of the actual work. Two automated tools take your measurement from Part 2 and turn it into a real tune: ATM (Automatic Time Measurement) handles time alignment, and TuneEQ handles equalisation.
1. Run ATM for time alignment
- Open the ATM module and point it at your saved measurement (or run a fresh one — ATM can trigger its own sweep).
- ATM calculates the actual arrival time of each speaker at your listening position and sets delay values automatically — no tape measure, no manual maths.
- Apply the calculated delays to your output channels.
2. Run TuneEQ for equalisation
- Open TuneEQ and load your RTA measurement.
- Choose a reference/target curve — DSP PC Tool 6 ships with presets, or use a custom target if you already know what you're after. If you're not sure, start with the default preset; you can always adjust later.
- Let TuneEQ analyse the measurement and automatically adjust each EQ band to match the target curve.
- Apply the resulting EQ curve to your output channels.
3. Listen back
Play a familiar track through the system. It should already sound noticeably more balanced than the factory-loaded starting point — even before any manual fine-tuning. That gap is the entire point of doing this instead of relying on a generic pre-loaded curve.
